Andre "helping" mommy to mop the floors.
I must confess this week has been trying. I would normally share this with my husband or my girl friends but I haven't been able to so please bare with me and lend an ear (or should I say your eyes) to me for a second.
On Monday morning, Alain took off work to take Andre to the doctor. The outcome? Double ear infection and mild bronquiolitis. While I took off work to go to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription, Andre, now back at home, decided to try to climb up the stairs. My poor nanny rushed to rescue him from a potential fall and tripped and fell! She and I spent an evening out together at the hospital. The outcome? Broken wrist, bruished nose, sore knees and back.
So since Monday, Alain and I have been juggling work and the kids. The nanny returned to work later in the week, but we asked her to "supervise" the kids only. No cleaning, no laundry, no carrying the kids. The outcome of this week for Alain and I? Working from home, no night-out with the girls or guys, no date, no exercise, doing laundry, cleaning...
OK. That's all. I just needed to share a little. We got through the week fine, and I envision things will get easier as the nanny's wrist heals. Any stories you would like to share?
Oh, quick tip for mopping the floors: I changed Andre into his pajamas and let him follow me around. He slipped a little while crawling and laughed the entire time!
