preparing for a long trip


I've been planning some upcoming trips with the family and looking forward to it. We love to travel with our children and one part of making it enjoyable is to prepare for long plane or car rides. This year I will be taking my iPad along, full of child-friendly apps, movies and saved YouTube links.

Here are some YouTube channels I came across and loved instantly:

Caspar Baby Pants - our favorite is Itsy Bitsy Spider
Sesame Street - I love the Jason Mraz guest appearance
Mother Goose Club - these appear on PBS stations as well

    I really enjoy road trips, but the one thing I always fear is the long travel with the kids. They get restless very quickly so working for DISH Network I thought I would try the TV Everywhere. It works wonders. I can access live TV and all our DVR recordings from wherever we are at. It’s perfect for the car ride. It keeps the kids quiet the whole trip.
