a little pampering for mom

It's been a tough week at work and getting rest at home has been impossible. Andre has decided to wake up every night at 3:00 a.m. for no apparent reason but to wake up his brother, dad and mom. The next day, as we wake up early to get ready for work, Andre makes up for the lost sleep by delaying wake-up time.

I was feeling the need to relax a little and pamper myself. A massage sounded like a good idea but budget and time constraints do not permit it at the moment so I went for a spa pedicure. The leg massage was just enough to relax me and my toes were sandal ready.

That half hour of relaxation and pampering was all I needed to clear my mind a little and return home with a lighter, and prettier, step.

Upon arrival, Andre greeted me by stepping on my big toe and smudging the polish. I picked him up to prevent further damage but he dropped his car toy on my other big toe.

Does anyone know of a good summer shoe that covers the big toe? Or perhaps I'll try the sandals with socks look.

  1. Too funny! I don't really like the look of tights with open toed sandals... I'm sure no one will notice the smudges if you wear sandals sans tights.

  2. The same thing happened to me with my manicure a while back. I went back to the pedicurist and she did the polish again in 2 seconds and didn't charge me (I left her a small tip).
