mister independent

Yesterday during lunch break, Alain and I went over to the small park across the street from the local YMCA where Luca and Andre were with their nanny. I was happy to find that there was a group of children ages 4 and 5 there from a YMCA camp. I intently watched Luca playing ball and interacting with one of the children, since we've been doing a lot of work on developing his social skills.

While I was busy observing Luca, however, Andre, with all the confidence of his1-year-old self, made his way to the group of boys that was playing and soon after that had all five of them wrapped around his little finger. Five toddlers were playing ball with him, making sure he caught it, showing him how to kick it, helping him up if he fell. He looooved te attention and spread smiles all around. He was having the time of his life.

It's so rewarding to see Luca and Andre's development process. I'm sure Andre will teach Luca many things, just like Luca has been teaching him a few tricks already.
